The Law Office of Ihsan Dogramaci PLLC is one of many law firms appearing as amici curiae in a case brought by Perkins Coie LLP against agencies and officers of the federal government’s executive branch. This case raises the question whether the federal government’s executive branch may ever punish lawyers by using the executive branch’s economic power to menace the lawyers’ clients indiscriminately and by using the executive branch’s control over government property to restrict those lawyers’ representation of clients in government matters. Since February 25, the executive branch has targeted several law firms with this outrageous form of punishment. In each case, the law firm in question was targeted because of an antipathy for one or another cause that has been advocated by some lawyers at the firm or even merely by a former partner of the firm. Perkins Coie is the second of these law firms to have been maliciously targeted like this. Because the rule of law in the United States is at stake, the amici support Perkins Coie.
